INSPIRE grant deadlines, workshop

The Neighborhood Resources Corp. is pleased to announce the remaining 2013 application deadline and the required informational workshop dates for the NRC INSPIRE grant program in South Bend.
These Innovative Neighborhoods Solving Problems and Inspiring Resident Engagement (INSPIRE) grants are designed to support neighborhood-based projects that reflect creative community building in the short term, but remain sustainable in terms of long-term benefits and stronger neighborhoods.  Previous successful projects include a youth bicycle repair program and several community gardens.
The remaining 2013 deadline for INSPIRE grant applications is October 4.
The INSPIRE matching grant awards require significant commitments from the applicant(s), project leadership and neighborhood, as well as a mandatory one-hour workshop for all potential applicants.
Those sessions are being offered at 6 p.m. on June 20, July 9 and August 6 at the NRC office, 217 S. Michigan St.
Anyone planning to attend is asked to RSVP. Call 574.287.0425, or email nrclaureenfagan@gmail.com.
