Free Workshop on TIFs, CDCs, and CDBGs Thurs., Sept. 20

The Neighborhood Resources Connection’s 2018 Neighborhood Leadership Academy Workshop series continues with a workshop on The Alphabet Soup of Community Development: TIFs, CDCs, and CDBGs.

The free workshop will be held on Thursday, September 20 at 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the SJC Public Library LaSalle Branch Meeting Room at 3232 W Ardmore Tr.

The workshop will help South Bend residents better understand how neighborhood improvement programs are funded. Participants will learn about Tax Increment Financing (TIF) districts, what Community Development Corporations (CDCs) are and how they differ from neighborhood associations, and how federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds can benefit your local community.
